This is a spring/summer 2023 color archive, not a forecast for the current season. It explores digital lavender, luscious red, sundial yellow, tranquil blue and verdigris as jewelry styling references. WGSN’s historical account confirms that WGSN and Coloro named Digital Lavender their Colour of the Year 2023.
Digital lavender: a small pastel accent
Try a lavender-family stone beside white, gray or another quiet garment color. In a small pendant or earring, the setting can make the hue look warmer or cooler. Compare the sample at actual size rather than assuming a large digital swatch will translate directly into a tiny stone.

Luscious red: choose where the eye should go
A red accent can become the focal point of a simple outfit. Use one pendant, a pair of earrings or a bracelet rather than automatically repeating the shade across every accessory. A darker garment and a lighter garment will give the same stone a different contrast.
Sundial yellow: test the warm border
The earthy yellow in this palette can sit beside cream, brown or a warm-colored metal finish. Check whether the stone remains distinct from its setting. If the colors merge, try a more contrasting setting or a garment background that gives the jewelry a clearer outline.
Tranquil blue: compare related and contrasting colors
A mid-tone blue can echo a blue garment or contrast with a warm neutral. Keep the jewelry silhouette consistent when comparing those options. This shows whether you prefer the color relationship rather than the size or complexity of a completely different piece.
Verdigris: use blue-green as a bridge
This blue-green family offers a way to connect a cooler garment with a warmer metal finish. Test it beside both before settling on the combination. “Verdigris” is the palette name here; it does not mean that the jewelry surface should be oxidized or that its materials are natural.
Turn the palette into approved references
Choose a background color, a main jewelry accent and an optional linking shade. Photograph the samples together in consistent light and retain their stone codes and finish references. A historical palette can organize a design discussion, but it cannot establish current demand or a psychological benefit.
For a retail range, introduce the colors that fill a specific gap and compare customer responses before adding the complete palette. Explore colored CZ pendants or bracelet color combinations as starting points.
