2022-2023 Spring/Summer Color Trends (Part 2)

Mango orange and butter yellow were the warm tones in this 2022–2023 color series. This archive offers a way to use them in accessories rather than presenting them as a current-season forecast. The important difference is intensity: orange can act as a strong accent, while a pale yellow often needs help to remain visible.

Mango orange: give a bright accent some space

Try an orange-family stone against white, cream, navy or another simple background. A small pair of earrings can introduce color without requiring an entirely orange outfit. For a more visible statement, a pendant gives the color a defined position at the neckline.

Repeating the orange in a bag, scarf or garment detail can connect the outfit. Repeating it in every accessory may be more than the wearer wants. Start with one repetition and assess the whole look from a normal viewing distance, rather than judging the jewelry in a close-up product photo alone.

Butter yellow: check the edge, not just the hue

Pale yellow can blend into cream fabric or a warm-colored metal setting. That may create an intentionally soft look, but it can also make a small stone difficult to see. Compare the same shade against a lighter and a darker fabric before choosing it for a display.

A silver-colored setting can provide a different border from a gold-colored one. Neither is a rule for every person or dress. Look at the exact sample, including its setting and neighboring stones. A color name such as “butter” is a mood-board reference; it is not a substitute for a supplier’s stone code.

Turn inspiration into a manageable selection

For a shop that carries both bright holiday clothing and neutral separates, give the tones different jobs. An orange accent can sit with the brighter rail; a pale-yellow piece can sit beside softer garments. If both pieces have the same silhouette, shoppers can compare color without also having to compare a completely different scale.

  • Photograph each sample beside the same garment swatch.
  • Check whether the stone’s outline remains visible.
  • Keep the approved color reference with the order details.
  • Confirm the available finish and order quantity for the selected design.
